META-INSTAGRAM PRODUCT FOUNDATION

Case studies address iterative and waterfall methods, with a focus on usability testing which is nested into more traditional market research methods. The methods used here were for Academics that were unfamiliar with usability metrics and testing. Teams needed to learn how to adapt those methods to existing research operations. Emphasis on different showing vs. telling (behavior vs. attitudinal) inquiries can be sampled from each case study.

  • 1st Click Usability Testing (Switching Adoption Rates for Select Surfaces)

  • A/B Moderated Usability Test (Video-First Logged Out Experiences for Teens)

  • Survey Design for Sequential Explanatory Methods (Multiple Account User Confabulations)

  • Diary-Usability Study and Participatory Design (Improving Consistency & Game Logic)

  • Meta Analysis of Ads Research at Facebook and Instagram (Algorithmic Transparency & Enhanced User Engineering)

  • Literature Review for Ads Users & Commerical Experience (The Share vs. Own Problem (Internet Publishing, NFTs and The Crisis of Capitalism)
